Attempts by supporters of President Trump on Wednesday to replicate the tactics of Antifa at the U.S. Capitol were wrong on all levels. Not just because violence is wrong, though of course it is. Not just because leftist media and prosecutors deploy a double standard, though they undoubtedly have. But also because no one should want Ground Zero of the battle against voter fraud to be fought in Washington, D.C.
Free and fair elections are a product of federalism meaning the power to execute them is held by state and local governments, not delegated to Washington. Our nation’s founders dispersed power deliberately to guard against tyranny.
Judge issues order in Georgia countiesâ voter eligibility challenges
Albany federal judge issues order in voter eligibility case By WALB News Team | December 31, 2020 at 1:21 PM EST - Updated December 31 at 6:35 PM
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - An Albany federal judge has issued an order about a voter eligibility challenge in two Georgia counties.
Judge Leslie Abrams Garnder, a judge of the Albany Federal Court, issued the order in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
The challenges stemmed from Muscogee and Ben Hill counties when people in those counties said thousands of registered voters â over 3,000 in Muscogee and over 100 in Ben Hill â were no longer living in either of those counties, which was based on information on the National Change of Address Database (NCOA). The voting group Majority Forward filed a complaint after the counties found probable cause to challenge the electors presented to them.
