Demonstrators are still calling for the immediate release of the bodycam video showing the moments leading up to Brown s shooting death by sheriff’s deputies. We should be out here peacefully protesting. They shouldn t be in riot gear and there is no riot, Jones said.

Elizabeth City protesters and the ACLU of North Carolina want curfew and permits rescinded Some protesters who took to the streets in support of Andrew Brown Jr. were arrested for breaking curfew, now they re speaking out. On Saturday, some protesters who violated an Elizabeth City curfew and were arrested are spoke out.  They say their first amendment rights were violated. The ACLU of North Carolina is also demanding that city officials  get rid of the curfew and the policy to requiring protesters sign a permit before gathering. It’s been more than two weeks since Pasquotank County Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed Andrew Brown Jr. during a search warrant.
