stuff? well, allegiant is king on the hill this one. that s a leisure flier out of las vegas, for every dollar in revenue that they bring in, $0.29 of it is in these add-on charges. maybe because nobody has heard of that airline, they have to charge $0.29. haven t you flown into las vegas recently? not on allegiant. let s look at the rest of the list there. carriers that we ve heard of before. united continental. spirit. making the serious money, they re all the deep discounters. they re all the no frills people. you should expect to get hit some way. yeah. but down at the bottom, you have united and continental coming on strong, 14% of their gross revenues are these add-ons. they re coming on strong because they, too, want to make money. look, i think it s bad p.r., nobody likes all these add-on fees. nobody likes them at all. bad p.r. but it s profitable. it s the only way airlines in this day and age are going to make some decent money and
