Electrification is the most visible megatrend on the roads now; but what is not that visible is the growing trend of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a set of driver assistance/autonomous technology features that can also pave the way for autonomous driving, and possibly help the domestic ADAS market to reach the billion-dollar mark by FY28. It is to be noted, according to an industry expert,that some of the India-specific accident scenarios are yet to be covered by ADAS features.
