Show Transcript ADAMS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL EVANS ATTENDED. TED: BILLY EVANS WAS BORN AND RAISED HERE IN NORTH ADAMS. EARLIER TODAY, HIS FRIENDS TOLD ME HE LOVED BASEBALL, MUSIC, AND BEING A POLICE OFFICER. BILLY DIED A HERO’S DEATH. IT IS NOT SOMETHING HE WAS LOOKING FOR, AND WE WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE HIM HERE WITH US. TED: JASON LAFOREST AND OTHER FRIENDS OF BILLY EVANS GATHERED ON THE NORTH ADAMS LITTLE LEAGUE FIELD THEY PLAYED ON AS KIDS. EVANS, THE FATHER OF TWO SMALL KIDS, DIED WHILE ON DUTY FRIDAY AFTER WITNESSES SAY A VEHICLE INTENTIONALLY RAMMED HE AND ANOTHER OFFICER ON A CAPITOL HILL. THE DRIVER WAS LATER SHOT AND KILLED BY POLICE HE LOVED BEING A CAPITOL POLICE OFFICER.
