A police prosecutor has told the Accra Circuit Court yesterday that phone calls of eight accused, linked to the robbery of Ekow Kwansah-Hayford, the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman are being analysed.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Fuseini Yakubu, told the court presided over by Mrs Evelyn Asamoah that prosecution had obtained information on the phone calls from various telecommunication companies.
He also said police were waiting reports on fingerprint of accused and empty shells picked on the crime scene from the police forensic laboratory.

The Prosecution in the case in which eight accused persons have been arraigned in the murder of the Mfantseman Member of Parliament Ekow Kwansah-Hayford has said they are analysing the phone details of the accused persons.
The prosecution is also awaiting the results of forensic analysis, ballistic and Criminal Investigation Departments report obtained from the accused persons.
In court on Monday, January 18, 2021, Prosecution led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Fuseini Yakubu told the court that, prosecution is waiting for the result of the cyber crime unit, the result from the CID and the ballistic crime lab which will help the prosecution take their next line of action.
Ekow Quansah Hayford was shot dead in a highway robbery operation Prosecutors in the case of the late Mfantseman Member of Parliament, Ekow Hayford, have submitted their evidence for forensic analysis.
The eight accused persons have all been charged with conspiracy to rob and robbery but have denied any wrongdoing.
In court on Wednesday, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Haligah holding brief for substantive prosecutor ASP Yakubu Fuseini said investigations are still ongoing.
According to him, his instructions were that evidence gathered so far in the case in the form of pellets, pistol and empty shells have been sent to Crime Lab for forensic analysis to determine the way forward on the matter.
