She has now died and police say she is the 97th murder victim in the district this year. Todays violence began around noon. Someone drove up to Saint Luke Catholic Church on east capital street, shot and killed 21yearold Amare Jenkins and then got back into a minivan and took off. And just before 4 00, an argument between teenagers led to gunshots on Savannah Street southeast, where a 12yearold and his mother were shot. A teenager arrested for her murder.
