Resources that would go to prosecutors, and federal agents to be able to investigate and prosecute crimes, are being diverted to the bureau of prisons. The bureau of prisons now takes up almost twothirds of the departments budget. Thats really untenable and unsustainable. So i believe that mandatory minimum sentences are an important tool. To hear Salerno on the Fox owner Joe Salerno tell it, the quality of his staff has been the secret sauce behind keeping the restaurant going since his father, Adam, who opened the restaurant in St. Charles in 1975, passed away in early 2022.
Adam Salerno, the founder of the popular Salerno s on the Fox restaurant in St. Charles, died this week. He is being remembered for his devotion to the business. "He didn t work a day because he lived doing what he loved," his son Joe Salerno said.
