GOODYEAR, Ariz. In seasons past, the Indians have gone to spring training with their opening day roster all but set.
Maybe they had a question about the fifth starter or the last arm in the bullpen. One year the big competition was who would win the utility infielder’s job Gio Urshela or Erik Gonzalez?
This spring things are a lot more questions to answer and positions to fill.
It starts with shortstop, as in “who replaces Francisco Lindor?” Amed Rosario, Andres Gimenez, Yu Chang, Gabriel Arias are in the running.
