01/29/2021 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Several months after ICC provided capital for an evangelist to open a small grocery shop to support his family, his ministry is thriving with the profits of his shop.
Adam Nasuri is an evangelist who serves in Indonesia’s West Kalimantan, an area where the ethnic Dayak people live. Last year, he offended the traditionally animist Dayak local organizations by asking his fellow Dayak Christians to focus on Jesus and turn away from the animist practices in a Facebook post.
Despite his apologies, the local Dayak organizations asked him to pay a fine, or he and his family risk being kicked out from the village. Adam had to use up his saving that he had intended to use to maintain a rickshaw shop.
