I have known our next speaker for quite some time. Our next speaker has been a great friend of me and the institute, and a great supporter of our journal of the Central Valley during the civil war era. So, it gives me great pleasure to introduce Brian Matthew jordan. Brian is associate professor of Civil War History and chair of the department of history at sam houston state university. Hes the author or editor of six books on the civil war era, including marching home, Union Veterans and their unending civil war, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in history in 2016.
