Gambia beat Tunisia on penalties to clinch Total U20 AFCON bronze
Goalkeeper Lamin Saidy saved two penalties as Gambia beat Tunisia 4-2 on post-match penalties at the Stade Cheikha Ould Boidiya in Nouakchott on Friday to clinch bronze at the Total Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The game was forced to penalties after a barren stalemate in normal time and Saidy proved to be the hero for the Gambians who equalled their best ever performance at the tournament in 2007, when they also won bronze.

Saidy saved from Adam Karim Benlamine and substitute Hamdi Abidi to help his side clinch the trophy. Gambiaâs only miss in the shoot out was from Habessi Achref who saw his penalty saved by substitute keeper Ahmed Laabidi.

Uganda will take on Ghana in Saturday s final of the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
It will be Uganda s first continental final since 1978, when they also faced Ghana in the senior Nations Cup final, after they thrashed Tunisia 4-1 on Monday.
Ghana, who have won the under-20 title three times, edged past The Gambia 1-0 in the other semi-final.
Percious Boah scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute with a well-taken free-kick.
Uganda s hero was striker Derrick Kakooza as he scored the tournament s first hat-trick after Richard Basangwa had given his side the lead after just five minutes.
Central African Republic stun Tunisia, both qualify to U-20 AFCON quarters
Two goals within a minute early in the first half propelled debutants Central Africa Republic (CAR) to the quarter finals of the Total Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations after a hard earned 2-1 victory over Tunisiaâs young
Carthage Eagles at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott on Sunday.
The result saw CAR finish second in Group B with four points, same like Tunisia who came third on head to head basis.
Tunisia however squeezed through into the last eight as they are assured of finishing as one of the best two third placed teams.
