UPDATE: Two men were killed as the surge in gun violence continued over the weekend.
Shootings continued to climb in Portland over the weekend, with a second person dying from a Saturday incident in Southeast Portland and police responding to at least four shootings in different neighborhoods on Sunday.
The victims are identified as William Peters, 40, of Portland, and Adam David-Lawrence Arrambide, 36, of La Pine. No suspect information has been released.
According to police, Peters and Arrambide were shot at the Acropolis Steakhouse in the 8300 block of SE McLoughlin Boulevard shortly before 11:30 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 27. First responders declared one of the victims dead at the scene, and the other had life-threatening injuries and had been taken to the hospital. He was declared deceased on Sunday.
