In its July monthly meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Board of Directors of the Brown County Water Improvement District #1 voted to raise water rates. The new rates will be: $1.7525 per thousand gallons for treated water, an increase of 1.83%; and $1.0284 per thousand gallons for untreated water, an increase of 2.78%. The District currently has no customers buying untreated water, but set the rate in the event that a customer for untreated water comes along.
The increased rates are caused primarily by the increased cost of chemicals used to treat the water, and higher insurance rates. General Manager John Allen said this is the first water rate increase of any significance in at least three years. The new rates will be charged to the various cities and other water districts that buy water from the District. Each of those entities will decide whether or not to raise water rates to their customers.

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 29, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will bond over fresh heartbreak while Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) potential ranch move enrages Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
In Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) suite, his flirty conversation with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will be interrupted by a news alert on his phone. Ashland will wonder how this could’ve happened and will assume Victoria just got the same alert.
The notification will be about a gossip site’s story on Ashland having six months to live, so he’ll have a hunch about who leaked it and take off.

The Whole Foods store on Milwaukee’s East Side has changed hands twice in the past five years, most recently selling for $23.5 million to a California-based real estate investment firm.
It sold for $1.3 million more than when the seller first acquired the space more than four years ago in December 2016.
Adam Connor of Colliers International | Wisconsin, who represented the seller in the deal, said the gain in value was a reflection of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. He added that limited retail construction should continue to drive up pricing in the market.
