A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the newly renovated county courthouse in downtown Kirksville on Saturday, July 15. Presiding Commissioner Mark Shahan welcomed the audience to the venue followed by a presentation on the history of the building by Blytha Ellis, president of the Adair County Historical Society.
A ribbon cutting and rededication of the cornerstone for the newly renovated Adair County Courthouse, will begin on Saturday, July 15 at 2:30 p.m. Courthouse tours will be given from noon to 2:30 p.m., leading up to the ribbon cutting. The rededication will take place at 4 p.m. and will be led by the Freemasons.
