McLachlan agreed to the Seven interview so people could see the devastating impact the accusations had on him and his family. I thought I d experienced some rock-bottom moments in my life, but nothing comes close to this, he said in the interview, reports The Australian.
Distressing: The 55-year-old, who will speak about his ordeal in a TV interview on Sunday, became so depressed by the accusations he couldn t see a way out. Magistrate Belinda Wallington acquitted the actor of all 13 indecent and common law assault charges in Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
McLachlan watched the verdicts being handed down on a video link from a Sydney office, with his partner Vanessa Scammell in the room.
Craig McLachlan said he will have more to say in the New Year. (Nine) We ve maintained a dignified and a respectful silence for the past almost three years and put our trust in the law and here we are today, McLachlan said afterwards.
