Former Pleasanton City Council member and retired teacher Cheryl Cook-Kallio has earned the Tri-Valley s Alameda County Board of Education for Trustee Area 7 position, well ahead of both competitors with 53.90% of the vote to date.
With voting in the primary coming to a close Tuesday, the contests for Alameda county sheriff-coroner and district attorney are positioned to head for November runoffs, according to initial returns at the end of Election Night.
Several of the candidates running for seats on the Alameda County Board of Education and for County Superintendent participated in a virtual forum on April 29.
