Facebook has revamped its âAccess Your Informationâ tool to better break down and explain its data usage practices.
Prior to the change, Facebook had two categories to explain its data practices: âYour Informationâ and âInformation About You.â The social media giant has now broken these two categories into eight sections.
The eight categories include: Your Activity Across Facebook, Friends and Followers, Preferences, Personal Information, Logged Information, Ads Information, Apps and Websites Off of Facebook and Security Information.
Each of these categories are broken down into further subcategories. Facebook notes that it has also added a new search functionality.

Now, the Mark Zuckerberg-led group found itself in hot waters yet again after its personal communications app, WhatsApp, announced a policy change that in effect opened a can of worms about how the entire web of Facebook collects and shares user data at will. Almost as if in response to all this, Facebook yesterday issued an update to its privacy transparency tool, Access Your Information.
