Suzuki Motorcycle India has released a teaser video of the third generation Hayabusa on Twitter. The superbike is expected to be launched later this year.
The new Hayabusa made its global debut last month. The bike receives an updated fairing and is 2 kg lighter than its predecessor.
The Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340cc, 4-cylinder engine that produces 187 BHP @ 9,700 rpm and 150 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. The engine gets lighter pistons, new connecting rods and fuel injectors among a host of other upgrades.
The superbike comes with a new slip and assist clutch, Brembo Stylema brakes, 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector Alpha (SDMS-a) which includes Power Mode Selector, Engine Brake Control System, Anti-Lift Control System, Motion Track Traction Control System and Bi-Directional Quick Shift System. According to a media report, Suzuki is likely to launch the third generation Hayabusa in India in the second quarter of 2021. The superbike could be imported as completely knocked down (CKD) kit.
The third generation Hayabusa made its global debut earlier this month. The bike receives an updated fairing and is 2 kg lighter than its predecessor. The handlebar has also been moved closer to the rider.

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa has finally arrived, and the motorcycle packs styling and mechanical revisions in its latest form. The Hayabusa has received a full-model change for the first time in 13 years and here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the motorcycle.
In terms of design, the 2021 model retain the overall silhouette of the Hayabusa models from the past.
There are, however, several revisions. The front fascia, for example, gets an LED headlight and turn signals with built-in position lights. The position lights/turn indicators are placed on the outer edges of the air intakes.
