+ June 10, 2021 THE Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday, June 10, 2021, reported over 7,000 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid), pushing the country’s total case count closer to 1.3 million.
The 7,485 new cases were the highest in 13 days, since the 8,748 on May 28. New cases have, however, plateaued at around 6,500 a day in the last seven days.
The new infections raised the cumulative case count to 1,293,687. Fifteen duplicates, including 12 recoveries, were removed from the tally.
The DOH case bulletin on Thursday also listed 122 additional mortalities, including 65 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries.

+ June 09, 2021 THE Department of Health (DOH) reported more recoveries than new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) for the fifth consecutive day on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, leading to a decline in the number of active cases.
As of June 9, DOH listed 54,000 active cases in hospitals and isolation facilities. These constituted 4.2 percent of the 1,286,217 total count.
The DOH case bulletin reported 5,462 new infections, lesser than the 7,854 recoveries.

+ June 06, 2021 (UPDATED) For the fourth consecutive day, about 7,000 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) were recorded in a day and over 100 recoveries were reclassified as deaths.
The Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday, June 6, 2021, reported 7,228 new cases, 166 deaths and 7,372 recoveries.
The new cases brought the cumulative case count to 1,269,478, after the removal of 23 duplicates that included 18 recoveries.
The 166 additional mortalities, which included 109 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries, raised the Covid-19 death toll to 21,898. The case fatality rate remained at 1.72 percent.
