s.e.a.l.s. he took it further with a need for speed with real action sequences. i sat down with scott wall to figure out how to shoot the biggest stunts in the movie, including the scene where he drives off the cliff and gets picked up by a helicopter. this is what he had to say. oh, i would drive off the cliff, no, i did not do that. he s going to drive up to that moment and then we put the stunt double in there for the go off the cliff action. it was one of those things where it was the end of the filming process as well. we were the end of the run of making the movie, and the studio was a little nervous and thought we should do this in cg. i m like, we have done no cg up to this point, we can do this. in the scene, you and the actors look like you re actually hanging. we do dangle. we hung them, yeah. we hung the mustang up and they literally dangled. it s incredible how they did that.
the extra three or four bucks. thank you for that. a big sequel out now, 300 rise of an empire. how does this stack up against the original? listen, i loved the original. that was one of the most geeking out movies i ve ever seen in my life. the slow motion, highly stylized action sequences, that was nerd tears the entire movie. i loved the 2007 film. it made over $450 million at the box office. the sequel is technically not a sequel. it happens during, before and after the original film. so the sequences are happening simultaneously with the original battle from the first 300 movie. the male lead in this film is not as strong as gerard butler in the original movie. if you love the 300, you ll love this. it s a little more violent than the original. i found ava green to be incredible in the film. she was the bond girl in casino
the first die hard and the third one had alan rickman and jeremy irons. those villains kept the movie afloat when it was not during action sequences. this one lacks a bad guy, which is great. so i gave it a three out of five. i stay say it s a good matinee. not the best die hard, but not the worst. die hard 2 was terrible. interestingly enough, 18 years ago, i started collecting movie ticket stubs and the first stub i ever collected was die hard 3 . steve: three bucks to see the movie. three dollars. for some crazy reason, i booked bruce will police and jeremy irons, the bad guys from die hard 3 on the same weekend. so i had to present them the stub and here is the video of their reaction. i saved my ticket stub. i want to show it to you. that s fantastic. look at the price of the ticket. three dollars back then. wow. that s the first stub i ever
