what it is like to be on a board. what are the conversations like? yeah. prior to that, i was just a normal day-to-day soccer mom going about my business. parents wanted a voice at the table. our board majority right now is absolutely a blessing because we some of us are parents. so i think it is great. the brown act prohibits us from having conversations more than two. so we have more conversations with the community more than we do with each other in regards to things that we take action on. i think that s extremely important that parents finally have a voice at the table. you will see that as elections come in california we have a few boards that do have parents voices at the table and it is just the beginning, which is awesome. harris: they have you at the head of the table because you are the president of the school board. what are next steps? are you anticipating that parents will get to keep their voice in the conversation on this real quick?
they would like to see this vote brought to the floor before the august recess, which is thousand just two weeks away. this is a privileged resolution, being introduced by congressman ricky torres. because it s privileged, once he brings it to the table, it has to be voted on or tabled. similar to the tactic republicans use as related to the censure of republican adam schiff. this is something that democrats want to see action on. they re frustrated that the ethics investigation into santos has languished, even though the ethics committee had promised if they would get something done soon, and a group of house republicans, all from new york, even said that they wanted to see action within 60 days by the ethics committees as part of the reason they voted to table a resolution, to expel santos from congress. i just asked house speaker kevin mccarthy what he thought of the censure resolution, and whether or not he thought it should go forward, and this is what kevin
day. it s unfortunate, we should be going after those individuals and groups and prosecuting them equally and going after pregnancy centers. rachel: not showing equal justice and concern for citizens and let s talk really quick about what you see as the next steps for the movement. i mean, obviously the overturning of roe v wade and bringing it back to the states was a massive accomplishment for the pro life movement. what s next? well, it s been an exciting time and as you know, we went to the justices and asked them to empower women and to promote life and so that was our theme certainly. that s what the justices responded to and they gave the abortion policymaking back to the people. so all of us, the people in our respective states, can make those decisions and we re ready to do that, we re ready for the job. we certainly ask for the job. and now that we received it, we have a lot of next steps to take action on. rachel, we ve been very engaged
sure there isn t any intelligence out there they want to take action on. they re looking for any type of call to action or something that would resemble a call to action, because they don t want to have anything like a january 6th event here in miami. when the former president does show up here at the courthouse, there is a lot of belief that he will probably not come through the front door, but he will probably end up going through some type of side door or back door and tunnelling under the courthouse to that courtroom where he will make his appearance for that arraignment. they don t expect him to come through the front door. they really want to limit his exposure to the people who are here outside the court. fred. then you have spoken to people there in south florida. what are they saying about all of this? reporter: we wanted to talk to some voters, especially after the indictment was unsealed.
