EBENSBURG Described as a “big personality” and “a fun-loving guy,” Cambria County Sheriff’s Deputy Ross Dixon took pride in any duty assigned to him since joining the office in 2005.
The law enforcement veteran passed away on Tuesday due to COVID-19-related complications, as shared by Acting Sheriff Don Robertson and the office’s Facebook page late Tuesday evening.
Flags at Cambria County Courthouse, where Dixon worked in many capacities, flew at half-staff on Wednesday while a moment of silence for the deputy was observed during a meeting of the Cambria County Prison Board.
