Read / Add Comments A 31-year-old Hunterdon County EMT was accused Wednesday of secretly recording multiple people in rescue squad bathrooms without their knowledge or consent for years. Douglas Gimson, 31, of Hampton, was arrested Dec. 3 on invasion of privacy charges, Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams said alongside two local law enforcement agencies. Grismon, a member of both the Flemington-Raritan and Lambertville-New Hope rescue squads, recorded the individuals in the bathrooms of the squads facilities, a spokesperson for the Hunterdon County Prosecutor s Office said. The incidents happened in Lambertville from November 2016 through May 2017, and in Flemington from November 2019 until March 2020, Williams said.

UPDATE: Hunterdon fatal stabbing took place on former senator s estate

The homicide of a 38-year-old woman on Sunday, Dec. 6, took place in the Delaware Township estate owned by former U.S. Sen. Robert Torricelli, according to a published report. Brandon Petersen, 31, of Newton, allegedly fatally stabbed 38-year-old Michele Carkhuff of Newton in an apartment on the estate. The pair had just taken drugs, and Petersen stabbed Carkhuff the neck while they were chopping vegetables for stew, according to witnesses quoted in the report. Petersen fled the scene in a pickup truck allegedly registered to Torricelli’s lobbying and marketing firm, the report said. Democrat Torricelli served in the U.S. Senate from 1997 through 2003.
