Eight Haitian migrants involved in a smuggling operation were arrested on Tuesday morning near Juno Beach, authorities say.
According to Acting Chief Patrol Agent Thomas Martin of the U.S. Border Patrol, multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a maritime smuggling event near Juno Beach and arrested eight Haitian nationals.
Chief Martin said two smugglers fled the scene on a vessel, but were eventually captured.
