Happy anniversary: Couple reunites at VA after being without each other for over a year
That was until the coronavirus pandemic hit.
Last March, the pandemic shut down visitation at the Chillicothe VA where Lloyd lives, leaving families unable to visit with their loved ones.
On Friday, the pair were finally reunited for an emotional anniversary.
The VA has opened limited visitation since April 7, in 25-minute slots every two weeks- alternating between their two community living center buildings.
During the visit, Flora Tackett cried as she read cards from friends and relatives to her husband, at one point playing Patsy Cline s 1963 song Back in Baby s Arms.
