disagree. but, what republicans are saying is they wanted to hear him address fentanyl. they were glad to hear that he was going there. they didn t necessarily like the republican cross talk. we heard that from both sides. the democrats didn t like that either. exchange the way the republicans behaved really did turn off a lot of independent voters. ainsley: really? it sure did. ainsley: republicans even told you they didn t like the cross-exchange but a lot of people i talked to liked it the ones who are republicans. they liked the fact that they had a chance to rebuke what he was saying. they said he wasn t telling the truth. you could see a fair number of people that they did. you saw the bump in the dials. when i looked at the verbatims what people were saying over and over again there should be some amount of decorum. you can fight back. flap back. there is a lot of times and places to do it. other ways to do it. they didn t like the coliseum feel that was happening last n
it it is an old problem, if we are ignoring it it is never an old problem, if we are ignoring it it is never going to be sold. we are abandoning some of our most vulnerable are abandoning some of our most vulnerable women and girls for what? very briefly, maggie, your response? i think what that response fundamentally misunderstand is the process that actually happens in rape crisis centres and others. cross talk people don t walk into a free for all where there are lots of people, you get met at the door and taken into private spaces. i think it s really important to make that point, sorry to press this point, but we know that this legislation is about ensuring trans people get the rights that most of us take for granted, that most of us take for granted, that legal recognition of who they are. that is what that legislation is about. ., ., .,
