MHA provides residential and day programs for those who have been impacted by a severe brain injury, and were assessed by a skilled nursing facility for state referral to such programs. The brain controls body functions so this impact may mean issues with communication, muscle coordination, irritability among the physical, cognitive and behavioral changes seen, that could be temporary or permanent, depending on the cause.
