FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 11, 2021 /PRNewswire/ AZZ Inc. (NYSE: AZZ), a global provider of metal coating solutions, welding solutions, specialty electrical equipment and highly engineered services today announced financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2021, ended November 30, 2020.
Third Quarter Overview and Recent Highlights:
Earnings per share of $0.76 and net income of $19.7 million; which includes net charges of $1.6 million, or $0.06 cents per share, primarily related to the loss on the divestiture of Southern Mechanical Services (SMS).
Sales of $226.6 million, increased sequentially by 11.4% from the second quarter

AZZ Inc. (Fort Worth, Texas), has acquired all the assets of Acme Galvanizing Inc. (Milwaukee, Wis.), a privately held hot-dip galvanizing and zinc electroplating company. For more than 100 years, Acme has provided quality metal coating services to the post-fabrication steel market. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but AZZ expects the acquisition will be accretive to earnings within the first year of operation.

With this acquisition, AZZ adds a well-established metal coatings operation with a diverse customer base. Going forward, AZZ intends to operate the 80,000-square-foot facility as AZZ Galvanizing and Plating – Milwaukee and further extend AZZ s ability to support customers in the Midwest.
