Global distribution agreement delivers new pulsed coherent radar technology
Mouser has a new global distribution agreement with Acconeer, who provide 3D sensors and pulsed, short-range radar technologies. Its radar products use pulsed coherent radar (PCR) technology, which connects the low power consumption of a pulsed radar with the high accuracy of an FMCW system. The resulting technology provides many great advantages, including high range resolution with a power consumption of lower than 1mW, for applications such as high-precision distance measurement, level measurement, smart presence and motion detection, and obstacle detection.
The product line comprises the Acconeer A111 PCR sensor a single-chip SiP solution with embedded radio and antenna in a footprint of just 29mm2. This radar sensor operates in the 60GHz radio band and can identify multiple objects at close range with single measurements and continuous sweeps at any frequency up to 1500Hz.
