Observer-Dispatch A 72-year-old Oriskany Falls man died Saturday following a motor vehicle accident on Sangerhill Road in Sangerfield, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.  Deputies said Robert Gillette was operating a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and was traveling westbound on Sangerhill Road just after 2 p.m. when he struck a tree on the south shoulder of the road.  He was treated at the scene by the Waterville Fire Department and was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead, deputies said.  Deputies said Gillette was the only occupant of the vehicle.    An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
