it s the type of training called crew resource management or crm. originally it was designed to prevent accidents. it empowered everybody. flight attendants, dispatchers, other pilots, any time they saw another pilot doing what they thought was a mistake, they had immunity and were actually encouraged to report that. now that was primarily an accident prevention program but perhaps we need to revisit this training and include behavioral disorders also because clearly the people that are in the cockpit are probably the ones that have had a chance to watch him closest for the longest period of time. quickly 20 seconds if you could what does this do for the psyche of the good pilots out there? well, obviously it s very insulting and we do need to realize this is an extremely rare event. you are more likely to die from an infected bee sting than a demented pilot taking you down. thank you very much for your perspective. thank you.
