1 million americans lost to covid-19. how do you think this collective grief has impacted us? oh, my gosh, well, first of all, pamela, thank you so much for having me and recognizing the importance of talking about this stuff because it s so important. like you said, you know, we just hit the million-death mark from covid, you know, on the official books, right? and i think they are saying that it s probably up to 200,000 higher than that, so maybe 1.2 million people in this country have died from covid alone over the last couple of years. there s something called a bereavement multiplier which suggests every death from covid nine poem are directly grieving that death so basic math you have 9 million people officially in this country alone grieving a covid death, not to mention all the other grief that s out there due to death loss. over the last two years we ve had loss of identities, loss of jobs, loss of coping mechanisms and the ability, to you know, access roles that we were use
