Athletes who gave their all on the mat, dance floor and in the pool were recognized for their hard work during Monday s Claremore school board meeting.
The Claremore High School wrestling team received the 5A Academic State Champions with a grade point average of 3.67.
Assistant wrestling coach Zac Weber said this year s GPA was better than last year â when they won their first academic state title since 1996.
Weber said they are back-to-back Academic state champions.
âItâs the new gold standard for Claremore wrestling and Claremore High School,â he said.
