the education mandatory. now it s optional. but one of the consequences of that is they actually sent more officers into world war ii than any other school including i think the acadd academy, as i understand it. certainly now it is still we have many students who go into the military, but again, probably more than any other school except the academies, but at the same time there are an awful lot of students who engage in the corps because of the discipline it teaches, because of the honor of home and country that is so central to the corps and the corps in many ways represents what has always been central to this university, which is those values and developing young men and women of character and a life of service. michael, this is molly. i m on set in new york, along with connell. we re looking at the 700 members or so of the corps of cadets that are lining the road
