it s out of control. grady? it s 103 degreed in austin right now. almost the entire state of texas is under some kind of heat advisory or warning. the national weather service says as we speak, nearly 109 million americans as adam mentioned from south florida to arizona, to nevada and california, they re under heat alerts right now. that is nearly a third of the country. the people we ve talked to here say they re staying in a lot more, as you can imagine. when they do go outside, they try to keep it brief. have the ac cranking. but we can t get to it get below 75. it s so hot out there. families find themselves cranking up the a.c., doing what they need to do to stay cool. i m guilty. i don t really manage or conserve that much because we have the kids inside. the extreme heat is putting
