The 14day Positivity Rate is 5. 6 , a 51 increase from two weeks ago on november 10th when it was 3. 7 . At that point, there were 7,000 cases a day. Today there is more than 15,000. Hospitalizations have increased since then, too by a whopping 81 . Statewide, i dont believe weve ever seen as many hospital admissions increased like we did just in the past 24 hours. You know, its aptly true that were in a surge, we have increased cases and many areas in the state have increased hospitalizations. This is not true we havent reached yet in the bay area. This is a prophylactic move to prevent us from getting into the kind of criteria that the governor explained. They were not there. Its a prophylactic move. Monday. It was noisy last night due to the winds. Thats part of the equation for the red flag warning. Outside the Santa Clara Valley were still dealing with the potential of damaging winds through at least 11 00 this morning. Now, you factor in drier air thats rolling in after 11 00, thats why we have the red flag warning thats going to extend until 5 00. It does not include the Santa Clara Valley. Youre missing out on both of these. The San Francisco bay shore and San Francisco also not in the red flag warning. Lets look at the winds right now, up in the Higher Elevations, still pushing well over 40 Miles Per Hour. Weve been up around 50 and 60 during the night. Thats why its been noisy in some neighborhoods. Down at the surface, seeing 37 at Half Moon Bay. 33 at fairfield. 24 in San Francisco. 31 in santa rosa. This is also going to help us push into record territory this afternoon from 66 in Half Moon Bay to 74 today in santa rosa and also in antioch i should say also in fairfield.
