2 robbers lynched at Tuna December 23, 2020 Two armed robbers were lunched while four other suspects suffered injuries, at Tuna, in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba in the Savannah Region.  The Savannah Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Adjekum Owusu, who disclosed this to journalists, that one of the lynched robbers was identified as Osman Issakah, 32, and the other yet to be identified. ASP Owusu mentioned that the deceased have been deposited at the Damongo Hospital for autopsy. He said that Abubakari Nurudeen, 34, accompanied by Bukari Ibrahim, Alhassan Seidu, Zakibu Mahama and Dorya Naa, all with marks of assault on their bodies, reported to the police that whilst on their way to Tuna, they were attacked by six armed men wielding guns and machetes, and robbed them of Gh¢12, 000.

Two armed robbers lynched at Sawla Police in the Sawla District of the Savannah region on Monday retrieved the lifeless bodies of two armed robbers from a bush at Tuna, a town in the community. The Savannah Regional Police Public Relations officer, Sgt. Owusu Adjekum who confirmed the incident to Atinka News revealed that the alleged robbers died after failed attempt to abscond with monies of five victims at Tuna. He named the five persons as Abubakari Nurudeen, Bukari Ibrahim, Alhassan Seidu, Zakibu Mahama and Dorya-Naa. They all reported the incident to the Sawla Police station about their standoff with the suspected armed robber’s.

According to a statement from the Sawla District Police Command and signed by Chief Inspector Daniel Kutsienyo, Abubakari Nurudeen, 34, in the company of two others reported to the police that they were attacked by six men wielding guns and machetes. Four of the robbers also managed to escape after they realized their two colleagues have been killed. “The Operation Conquer First men were dispatched to the scene and found the two alleged robbers dead.” It added: “One of the robbers had his health insurance in his pocket that revealed his name as Osman Issaka aged 32 years from Bole.”
