STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. As food handlers return to work as frontline workers in customer service, they have become eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Yet with language issues and a lack of internet access, employees have had difficulty navigating the system. The challenges have led to help for both owners and staff, an initiative facilitated by Elm Park restaurant owner Chris Lacey of Lacey’s Bridge Tavern.
