UAE’s fastest growing aviation hub commences passenger operations with Rossiya Airlines, offering travellers nine destinations in world’s largest country
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RAK Airport) has opened up a new service to Russia through a partnership with Rossiya Airlines, with the inaugural flight from the carrier arriving from the Russian city of Yekaterinburg - Russia’s fourth-largest city and the second-largest in Siberia - today (2nd April). The airport’s commencement of operations with the airline directly connects the UAE’s northernmost emirate to nine destinations in the world’s largest country.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Embassy of Maldives in Abu Dhabi, organised a webinar on Maldives investment opportunities.
The webinar was attended by Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, along with a number Maldivian ministers and officials.
The webinar presented a detailed presentation on potential investment opportunities in Maldives for Emirati investors and covered a number of key subjects including investment opportunities in the tourism sector, fisheries, marine life and agriculture to name just a few.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al Mheiri delivered his opening remarks by emphasising on the need to continue the current momentum of relations between Abu Dhabi and Maldives and the economic and trade cooperation at all levels by focusing on developing effective partnerships in all sectors of common interest.

After months of navigating and adjusting to a challenging time for tourism, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism development Authority (RAKTDA), has taken steps to reignite visits to the Emirate as travel corridors begin to reopen.
This year, RAKTDA was recognized for its swift response to support operators and partners during the pandemic, earning the Authority double accolades as Gulf Tourism Capital winner and Tourism & Hospitality Company of the year from Gulf Business Magazine. While staycation concepts and cultivating the domestic market has fared well for the destination, the authority is ready to welcome visitors from neighbouring countries, and in particular travellers from the GCC.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has announced that 365 industrial facilities operating in Abu Dhabi have added commercial and service activities to their existing licenses.
The revelation follows the Department s Industrial Development Bureau’s (IDB) recent resolution to allow the addition of 14 new commercial and service activities to industrial licenses, aiming to support investors and business owners; create a promising investment environment; and boost the ease of doing business in the emirate.
According to the report issued by ADDED, a total of 547 services activities were added to the industrial ones. It further states that 21.5 per cent of the 1,697 industrial establishments licensed in the emirate took advantage of these services.
