Regal Foods £89k bakery expansion project to create 30 jobs Yorkshire-based baker Regal Foods has secured an £89,391 grant from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to support the expansion of its production facility and create new jobs.
The manufacturer – whose brands include Regal, the Yorkshire Baker and The Baking Company – aims to use the money to expand its existing production site to manufacture Bombay Mix, creating 30 roles.
Regal Foods operations director Absar Younis said the business had identified a gap in the market for the product.
Funding from the LEP was delivered by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, through the Leeds City Region Growth Deal – a £1bn package of Government investment to accelerate growth and create jobs across Leeds City Region.
The expansion will help deal with the growing popularity of the company s Bombay Mix. The grant will come from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership.
