AN animal rescue centre in Flintshire is nearing its final goal to give local cats the best chance of finding their forever home. Jackson’s Animal Rescue – near Padeswood – set up their fundraising page with the goal of £4,500 to complete the renovations on their cattery facilities. The charity took over the former Capricorn site earlier this year which was left to ruin after it was closed down. Since the new owners came along, the site is being brought up to the highest standards with a vision of helping animals in need here in North Wales. Their first objective is the cattery – which was left in a run down state and was not fit for purpose. It was exposed to the freezing elements and would not be a comfortable place for cats to call their temporary home.
