The title and the style of the book were featuring today, socialism sucks, is admittedly more irrev van the typical more staid pock policy book wed Public Policy books we organize evented around but i assure you the authors today are serious, accomplished economists to decade of scholarly work inform the publication. The subtitlele of the book, who economists drink the way through the enfree world, give us flavor of the unconventional purchase for a couple of academics. That subtitlelesurprise me. I ten to run into ben powell and bob lawson at economic or academic conferences around the country and around the world, and inevitably they have drinks in their hand probably because we chat at conventions and receptions and hotel bars and i the like. The conversation is always interesting, informative and fun and thats true of this new book

Joining us now is former National Security advisor and ambassador and former assistant secretary of state susan rice, her book is called tough love my story of the things worth fighting for is coming out in october and best arise thanks for being with us for a few minutes. Thanks for having me. You talk about tough love and some of the things worth fighting for. What is the book begin first of all. The book begins with my family. My parents and grandparents in the story of where they came from which is so important to who i am and how i developed. The tough love is very much the way my parents raised me. I think its fair to say the kind of mother i am. In fact the kind of leader i am in my professional contacts. The part of my story of the things worth fighting for really is all of the things the matter to me. Family and fighting for equality and fighting for the values that i think defines our nation and our universal values. Fig
