Hotel reopening to boost Mt Province tourism

107th Malasakit Center opens at LHRMH in Mt. Province Philippine Information Agency 08 May 2021, 04:38 GMT+10 MOUNTAIN PROVINCE - Poor and indigent patients in the province and other nearby areas will now be confident to seek hospitalization and treatment with the opening of a Malasakit Center at the Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital(LHRMH) in Abatan, Bauko on Friday(May 7). Senator Lawrence Bong Go, who authored the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019, led the launching ceremony of the LHRMH Malasakit Center via online with Presidential Adviser for the Visayas Sec. 77 new COVID cases logged in Mountain Province

(MANILA BULLETIN) The Provincial Health Office said of the 77 new cases, 36 were from Bontoc, 14 in Besao, four in Bauko, six in Sabangan, four in Tadian, and three in Sadanga. Bauko Mayor Abraham Akilit issued Memorandum No. 2021-18 suspending work in the local government and placing the municipal compound in Barangay Abatan under preventive lockdown Thursday and Friday after seven municipal government employees tested positive for COVID. Akilit said the lockdown will pave the way for efficient contact tracing and disinfection of the municipal offices and its compound. Regular services will resume Monday. Bauko now has 59 confirmed cases, 40 recoveries, and 19 active cases.
