POPLARVILLE, Miss. (WDAM) - The Pearl River football staff was elated to announce their 2021 signing class Wednesday afternoon. The class represents the first group head coach Seth Smith and his staff have been able to recruit for a calendar year. While the COVID-19 pandemic complicated the way teams can recruit, Smith is confident the class will shine over the next two years for the Wildcats.
“We are extremely excited about our first full signing class,” Smith said. “We’ve had over nine months to evaluate these guys and also evaluate our needs for the 2021 team moving forward. POPLARVILLE, Miss. (PRCC Athletics) - Pearl Riverâs football program added some SEC flair to its staff Wednesday with the addition of Bo Wallace. The former Ole Miss quarterback and East Mississippi National Champion will be the Wildcatsâ co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, head coach Seth Smith announced.
âWe are extremely excited about the opportunity to work with Coach Wallace. Heâs a guy who has coached and played at a high level,â Smith said. âAfter meeting with him for about 5 1/2 hours it was clear that his energy, enthusiasm and content knowledge would be a tremendous asset to our staff and our team. We feel like we landed a winner and I know he and coach (David) Chatham are going to work great together.
