Pupils from Blackburn College College students in East Lancashire have been gaining insight into the music profession from industry experts.
Blackburn College’s music performance and technology students enjoyed online workshops delivered by Manchester-based industry specialists Spirit Studios. Spirit Studios, an independent higher education provider specialising in music production, music business and sound engineering, delivered the virtual events to year one and two learners over Zoom. The sessions were presented by Holly Phelps and Lewis Jones, who gave students insights into industry software, Ableton Music Production, and live sound engineering. Pupils from Blackburn College Students learned the processes behind creating a track as well as producing samples and audio from scratch and engaging in mixing arrangement.
