Path Of Exile kicked off its latest expansion Ultimatum on Friday, a launch which was unfortunately part of a challenging week for the developers and players both. Server issues created a domino effect of troubles on launch day between Path Of Exile s developers, their players, and livestreamers. That was just the cap to a week which was already troubled by accusations of an unfair ban from what turned out to be an invented player. Most issues appear to be resolved now, but here s a look at what s been going on. On Ultimatum s launch day, players were struggling to get through Path Of Exile s login queue off the bat. At the rate that it was emptying, it d be at least two hours to get everyone into the game, Grinding Gear explain in a post about the many issues they faced on launch day. Later on, they say the realm freaked out and dumped most of the players out, then continued to do this roughly every ten minutes or so for the r

I still remember the pure ecstasy I felt that Christmas my parents got me a Super Nintendo. Iâd played video games at friendsâ houses, so I knew Iâd be able to use the controller without a problem, even though Iâd be using my feet due to a disability in my arms and hands. Many hours were consumed with

The developers of
Dead by Daylight have announced the introduction of a colourblind accessibility mode for the game, following some controversial comments made last week.
Ethan Larson, Behaviour Interactive’s lead programmer in charge of
Dead by Daylight, courted controversy on a (now-deleted) live stream Q&A over on Twitch. When asked about the necessity for a colourblindness mode due to the colour usage in
Dead by Daylight, Larson responded with irritation.
“Alright JC,” Larson addressed the viewer. “It’s getting really boring just blabbing about colourblind mode all the time, we’ve heard it a million times, we know, continuing to badger us about it isn’t going to change anything,
Dead by Daylight studio Behaviour Interactive publicly apologised after one of its developers criticised a viewer on Twitch for asking for a colourblind mode.
The controversy also accelerated the reveal of said colourblind mode, which was subsequently unveiled on Twitter yesterday.
As reported by Kotaku, Dead by Daylight s designer Ethan Larson said on his personal Twitch stream on January 12 that it was getting very boring to hear a viewer blabbing about colourblind mode all the time. We ve heard it a million times, we know, he continued, as seen in this YouTube video showing the incident. Continuing to badger us about it is not going to change anything. If it gets done it will get done when we have time to do it or if someone decides that it s something that should be done. We know a lot of players want it, it s not a small number, we get it.
Behaviour Interactive, the developers of Dead by Daylight, has announced that it will be adding a colorblind mode to the game. This comes at a time when it received a lot of backlash from the community for certain remarks made by one of the developers.
In a tweet, Behavior Interactive mentions that the colorblind mode, which is slated to arrive shortly, will include accessibility settings for deuteranope (inability to perceive green light), protanope (inability to perceive red light), and tritanope (inability to perceive blue light).
In a video that’s part of the tweet, the developer mentions that they hope to have the update ready for the next big chapter update. “Not the mid-chapter that’s coming, but the big update after that,” the dev says. “We can’t officially commit to a full date right now, but we’re hoping to have this release for the next chapter update.”
