Homer Opus, a nonprofit organization that provides instruction in string-based music programs to Homer youth as well an adult Codas ensemble, is in the midst of their first monthlong celebration of the Festival of Strings.
Homer’s Fireweed Academy will host their fall Harvest Festival FUNdraiser on Friday, Oct. 20 at the West Homer Elementary School gym from roughly 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is open to the community. Members of the parent-teacher organization and other volunteers will be serving soups, salads and bread.
