Meet Maximus the most beautiful Pet of the Week and his time is up. After this weekend if Maximus is not adopted or at least fostered out to a temporary home, (for the time being) this massive, lovable, chocolate Lab, Retriever, Pointer mix may have to be put down.

I played with Maximus and he was very gentle and the tail was-a-waggin the entire time. He is excellent on a leash and understands the basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, shake, and several other commands. Maximus will even alert you when it s time to eat.

The Abilene Animal Shelter needs us now! We need to adopt one of these lost, found, abandoned, or surrendered pets. With the hottest month of the year still on the way we should all think about saving one of the beautiful fur babies before they run out of time and are put down.
