MISHAWAKA — Paul Modlin loved seeing his nephews and niece walking in the hallways or in his classroom when they were students at Mishawaka High School. The longtime teacher remembers seeing his nephew, Matt Modlin, and playfully punching him or giving him a hug. “After a while he’d see me walking and kind of walk a little bit around me,” Paul said with a smile.
